What is a Governance Audit?

A governance audit is a review of how the organisation is structured and administered. It looks at the framework in place, the policies and procedures, and safeguards for the organisation. It also assesses whether adequate checks and balances are in place for effective governance and required controls by The Charities Commission or other governing bodies.

What will the audit entail?

What happens once the audit has been completed?

Recommendations will be shared and an action plan put in place. This can be either supported or implemented by trusted experts.

This depends on the size of the charity, however audits start from £300.
